New Zealand’s shocking child abuse statistics

Taking care of our children, and being successful at it, is the most important health need of our society. Child abuse, however, is the manifestation of superficial and deeper underlying problems and successful resolution of those will result in a safer society for us all.

A child is admitted to hospital every second day with injuries from assault, neglect or maltreatment.
